B.PALMER RIEDEL
 

B. PALMER RIEDEL was born and raised in Wellesley, Massachusetts. In 1963, he graduated from Mt. Hermon School and in 1967, cum laude with a B.A. from Syracuse University, Maxwell School of Citizenship. In 1970, he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

Mr. Riedel began his legal career as House Counsel for Travelers Insurance in San Francisco and then opened and managed Home Insurance Company's House Counsel in San Francisco. In 1976, he became litigation partner in the firm of Golden, Stefan, Ellenberg, and Riedel in Oakland and in 1986, opened his own firm in Walnut Creek. In 1998, the Law Offices of B. Palmer Riedel expanded to Southern California with a second office in Palm Desert.

Mr. Riedel has received a variety of community service appointments:
- Fire Commissioner, Contra Costa County Consolidated Fire Board of Commissioners, 1985 - 1993, Chairman 1988, 1991, 1992
- Director, Contra Costa County Community Development Block Grant Advisory Board, 1984 - 1988, Chairman 1986, 1987, 1988
- President, Board of Directors, Tamalpais Fire Protection District, 1975, 1976 (public election)
- Commissioner, Marin County Planning Commission Advisory Board, 1975, 1976
- Commissioner, Park and Recreation, Tamalpais Community Service District 1973, 1974

Mr. Riedel has directed his support to other community service needs:
- Testified in 1972 before the United States Senate Subcommittee on National Parks in Washington, D.C. in support of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area
- Rotarian of the Year, Rotary Club of Walnut Creek Sunrise, 1991
- Active member, Rotary Club of LaQuinta

Mr. Riedel has been appointed Judge Pro Tem, Contra Costa County Superior Court and is a Court-appointed Arbitrator in both Alameda and Contra Costa County Superior Courts. He is also a member of the California State Bar Association, the Contra Costa County Bar Association, and the Desert Bar Association.

ALEXANDER PHAM
 

ALEXANDER PHAM was raised in Lake Forest, a small city in Orange County, California. In 1998 he received his Bachelor of Science degree graduating summa cum laude from California State Polytechnic University with a major in Zoology and a minor in Chemistry. In 2001, Mr. Pham attended the University of California Hastings College of Law where he was ranked in the top 11th percentile of his class. While attending Hastings he won second place in moot court and participated in the immigration clinic. In 2002, Mr. Pham transferred to the University of Southern California Law School where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2004.

Before joining the Law Offices of B. Palmer Riedel in 2005, Mr. Pham was a federal inspector with the United States Department of Agriculture enforcing federal quarantines at Los Angeles International Airport. He also conducted preliminary hearings as an intern with the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office.

Mr. Pham is a member of the California Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association.

JENNIE WOOLEY
 

Originally from San Francisco, Ms. Wooley graduated with honors in her major from the University of California, at Santa Cruz, in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Legal Studies. Ms. Wooley received her Juris Doctorate from University of California, Hastings college of the Law in 2007. While attending Hastings, Ms. Wooley served as a judicial extern in the Unified Family Court with Commissioner Marjorie A. Slabach. In her last year at Hastings, Ms. Wooley once again volunteered at the San Francisco Superior Court to assist Commissioner Sue Kaplan in reviewing and issuing temperoary restraining orders.

 

Ms. Wooley joined the Law offices of B. Plamer Riedel, WC INC, as an associate in 2007, where she continues to develop her practice in the are of general litigation and family law.

MAE ADKINS
 

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Ms. Adkins graduated summa cum laude from the Ohio State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Fine Art in Art. Ms. Adkins received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2003, graduating cum laude and in the top ten percent. While attending Hastings, Ms. Adkins participated in the Civil Justice Clinic, served as a teaching assistant for a moot court class, and was a judicial extern to the Honorable Susan Illston at the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Before joining the Law Offices of B. Palmer Riedel-WC, Inc., Ms. Adkins volunteered for the San Francisco Public Defender. She joined the Law Offices of B. Palmer Riedel-WC, Inc., as an associate in 2003, where she continues to develop her practice in the area of general litigation and family law.

Ms. Adkins also mediates disputes of all types. She completed the certified 40-hour mediator training in accordance with the California Dispute Resolution Programs Act in March 2009, and is an active volunteer with Community Boards - the San Francisco Center for Conflict Resolution, and the Center for Human Development – Conflict Resolution Program, where she mediates both in the community and through the courts.
